Day by Day

• DAY 1 – São Luís
  Destination: São Luís
  Disembark in São Luís and transfer to your accommodation. Free time and overnight in the chosen accommodation category.
• DAY 2 – São Luís / Barreinhas
  Destination: São Luís
  After breakfast, we’ll board a minibus/van for Barreirinhas in the Lençóis Maranhenses, an approximately 4-hour drive (optional: flight over the Great Lençóis). After lunch (not included), we’ll take a tour of the impressive Lençóis Maranhenses National Park. On board the 4×4
  (we’ll cross the Preguiças River by ferry and take sandy trails for approximately 40 minutes to the park entrance.

• DAY 3 – Barreirinhas / Atins / Barreirinhas
  Destination: Barreirinhas
  On this day, we’ll head out in 4x4s for a ferry across the Preguiças River and an off-road trail through the dunes of the Lençóis National Park towards an unspoiled paradise, the village of Atins. We’ll visit Canto do Atins. Then we’ll set off to visit the beaches and lagoons of the area. At 2pm we will stop for lunch (not
  included) and then return to Barreirinhas. Overnight in the chosen accommodation category
• DAY 4 – Barreirinhas
  Destination: Barreirinhas
  After breakfast, we’ll be taken to the port where we’ll board speedboats down the Preguiças River to Caburé Beach. Along the way, palm trees and mangroves are home to birds, reptiles and mammals. The first stop will be at the village of Vassouras, one of the many where the dunes of the Pequenos Lençóis meet the Rio Preguiças. Capuchin monkeys and parrots delight the tourists who stop to refresh themselves with cold drinks served in the shade of the tents. We continue by boat to the Mandacaru lighthouse, in the village of the same name.

• DAY 6 – Barreirinhas/ São Luís
  Destination: São Luís
  After breakfast, we’ll set off on a shared tour of the village of Cardosa in a 4×4 vehicle. (vehicle with float-cross on the Formiga River, accompanied by a driver/guide. In 50 minutes, between asphalt, secondary roads and trails, you arrive at the village of Cardosa. Members of the community accompany you on a delightful trip down the Formiga River. Floating on buoys, calmly following the flow of the river along the banks of palm trees and serrado vegetation, we spot birds and, more rarely, monkeys. In the late afternoon, we’ll take a minibus/van back to São Luís where we’ll spend the night.
• DAY 7 – São Luís / City of departure
  Destination: São Luís
  After breakfast we will take a city tour of São Luís. Walking through the streets of the Historic Center of São Luís is to experience literary and religious
