Tutóia - MA

On a trip to Tutoia, it is already possible to get a taste of the famous Lençóis Maranhenses by visiting the APA dos Pequenos Lençóis. The gigantic Lençois Maranhenses are formed by large and small sheets, constituting a large region of environmental preservation on the east coast of Maranhão. The APA of Little Lençois covers a territory between the municipalities of Tutóia and Paulino Neves, and are full of dunes of all sizes, some from 12m to 30m high, with among them freshwater ponds, whose waters vary between shades of green and blue, around the region mangroves, sandbanks and native beaches.
