Day by Day

• DAY 1 – São Luís
  Destination: São Luís
  Disembark in São Luís and transfer to the lodging. Free time and overnight stay in the chosen lodging category.
• DAY 2 – São Luís
  Destination: São Luís
  After breakfast we’ll take a city tour through São Luís. Walking through the streets of the Historical Center of São Luís is to experience literary and religious sceneries, taste the local cuisine and realize how well the “maranhense” people welcome the visitors! The city is an island that enchants with its beauty, legends, history, century-old streets, and colonial tiles. Return to the hotel and free time for rest. Overnight.
• DAY 3 – São Luís/ Barreirinhas
  Destination: Barreirinhas
  After breakfast, we’ll board the minibus/van heading to Barreirinhas at Lençóis Maranhenses, a 4-hour trip (optional: overflying the Big Lençois). After lunch (not included), we will take a tour to the impressive Lençóis Maranhenses National Park. On board of a 4×4 (dinghy) we will cross the Rio Preguiças by ferryboat and take sand trails for about 40 minutes to the park entrance. We will visit the best lagoons of the season and their incredibly clear waters, an irresistible invitation for a swim. Before returning to the lodge, we will experience the sunset at Lençóis Maranhenses. Overnight stay in the chosen lodging category.
• DAY 4 – Barreirinhas / Atins / Barreirinhas
  Destination: Barreirinhas
  On this day we’ll take a 4×4 (dinghy) to cross the Preguiças River on a ferry and an off road trail through the dunes of the Lençóis National Park towards an untouched paradise, the village of Atins. We will visit the Atins Corner. Then we will leave to visit the beaches and lagoons of the area. At 2pm we will stop for lunch (not included) and then return to Barreirinhas. Overnight stay in the chosen lodging category.
• DAY 5 – Barreirinhas
  Destination: Barreirinhas
  This day is reserved for you to enjoy the hotel or stroll freely in Barreirinhas. If you wish, you can take advantage of this free day to take a floating tour on the Formigas River, in the village of Cardosa or make a return trip to visit Santo Amaro (optional extras not included).
• DAY 6 – Barreirinhas/ São Luís
  Destination: São Luís
  After breakfast we’ll be taken to the port where we’ll board in fast speed boats through the Preguiças River until the Caburé Beach. On the way, palm trees and mangroves are home to birds, reptiles and mammals. The first stop will be at the village of Vassouras, one of the many points where the dunes of the Pequenos Lençóis meet the Rio Preguiças. Monkeys and parrots make the party of the tourists who stop to refresh themselves with cold drinks served in the shade of the tents. We will then take the motor-boat to the Mandacaru lighthouse in the village of the same name, which from the top of its eight stories will reveal in 360 degrees all the exuberance of the place. We will continue to the village of Caburé and its inns and rustic restaurants, where we will have lunch (not included).
  After lunch we will return to Barreirinhas. In the end of the afternoon we’ll take the minibus/van to São Luís where we’ll stay overnight.
• DAY 7 – São Luís / Departure city
  Destination: São Luís
  Breakfast and check-out at noon. According to the flight schedule, transfer in air conditioned vehicle to São Luís’ airport.IMPORTANT:
