Day by Day

• Day 1 – Saint Louis
  Destination: Sao Luis
  Disembark in São Luís and transfer to the
  hosting medium.
• Day 2 – São Luís / Santo Amaro
  Destination: Santo Amaro
  After breakfast, we will board a minibus/van. After approximately 3 hours we will arrive at the support point, from where we will depart in a 4×4 along sand trails to the bucolic Santo Amaro, setting of the movie Casa de Areia. We will be greeted by the transparent Rio Alegre, which embraces the city along with coconut trees and dunes. After check-in and lunch (not included), we will visit the Lagoa da Gaivota circuit in a private 4×4, passing through the region of lakes and fields.
  We will walk up the dune that will give us a splendid view of Lençóis, with the magnificent Lagoa das Gaivotas at our feet. It is worth a walk through the dunes and a dip in the translucent waters waiting for the fantastic sunset. Overnight in Santo Amaro.
• Day 3 – Santo Amaro
  Destination: Santo Amaro
  After breakfast and aboard our private 4×4 (gardener), we will discover one of the most untouched and impressive regions of Lençóis Maranhenses. We will start with the Betânia Circuit through the town of the same name and on the banks of its lagoon, where we will take a pleasant canoe trip to the gigantic dunes on the opposite side. The exuberant and overwhelming nature and the slow way of life of the residents will transport us to an atmosphere of dreams. Return to the hotel in a 4×4 vehicle, free time and overnight in Santo Amaro.
• DAY 4 – Santo Amaro / Barreirinhas
  Destination: Barreirinhas
  After breakfast, we will travel in a private vehicle to Barreirinhas on an average journey of 4 hours, approximately. After check-in and lunch (not included), we’ll take a tour of the impressive Lençóis Maranhenses National Park.
  On board the 4×4, we’ll cross the Preguiças River by ferry and follow the sandy trails for approximately 40 minutes to the best lagoons of the time and their incredibly crystalline waters, an irresistible invitation to take a dip.
  Before returning to the inn, we will experience the sunset in Lençóis Maranhenses, one of the most remarkable experiences that nature can provide us. Overnight in Barreirinhas.
• DAY 5 – Barreirinhas / Caburé / Atins
  Destination: Atins
  After breakfast, we’ll be taken to the port where we’ll board fast speedboats along the Preguiças River to Caburé Beach.
  Along the way, palm trees and mangroves are home to birds, reptiles and mammals. The first stop will be at Vassouras village, one of the many points where the Pequenos Lençóis dunes meet the Preguiças River. Capuchin monkeys and parrots entertain tourists who stop to refresh themselves with cold drinks served in the shade of tents. We continue on the motorboat to the Mandacaru lighthouse, in the village of the same name, which at the top of its eight floors will reveal in 360 degrees all the exuberance of the place.
  We will continue to the village of Caburé and its rustic inns and restaurants, where we will have lunch (not included). Then we will cross the Rio Preguiças to the village of Atins, where we will spend the night.
• DAY 6 – Atins
  Destination: Atins
  After breakfast, we will go for a walk to Canto do Atins, a small village that serves as the gateway to Lençóis. We’ll visit the best lakes in the season and stop for lunch (not included) at Luzia or Antônio’s restaurant, famous for their typical cuisine throughout the region. After the tour, we will return to Atins, where we will have free time to walk around or just rest at the hotel. Overnight in the chosen accommodation category.
• DAY 7 – Atins / Caburé / Parnaíba
  Destination: Parnaiba
  After breakfast, we’ll cross the Preguiças River by boat and say goodbye to Lençóis aboard powerful 4x4s. Deserted beaches, fields and dunes make up the landscape in this stretch.
  We will pass by Paulino Neves, which boasts its white sand streets and its wooden bridge over the Rio Novo. We will then continue to Tutóia to take the speedboat with which we will cross the Parnaíba Delta and its majestic labyrinth of islands (Igoronhon, Ilha do Paulino, Caju). We will stop at Morro do Meio for a quick walk over the gigantic dunes of Baía do Caju and a swim in the waters of Parnaíba. The beautiful bird named Guará with its bright red plumage can be seen by the hundreds as they perch at sunset in a rare and unforgettable spectacle (the sighting of animals depends on several natural factors combined).
  We will return to Porto de Tatus, where we will be transferred for fifteen minutes to the hotel.
• DAY 8 – Parnaíba / Barra Grande
  Destination: Barra Grande
  For this morning, we will need to choose between two different attractions. The first is a trip in a speed boat and typical canoe along the Igarapé dos Guirindós, home to howler and capuchin monkeys, reptiles, amphibians, as well as birds and typical fauna of the Delta (IMPORTANT: the sighting of animals depends on several combined natural factors).
  The second option is a tour to discover the Lençóis Piauienses, which extend from Lagoa do Portinho to the Dunas do Coqueiro. We will have the opportunity to cross trails and dunes, discovering surprising places and ending with a refreshing bath in the lagoon).
  Be sure to let our consultants know which of the two tours you want to take. We will return to the hotel and after lunch (not included), we will continue on a panoramic tour of the east coast of Piauí. After 35 km paved, we will arrive at the charming Barra Grande, a beach with clear waters and a paradise for kitesurfers from all over the world, who come in search of the trade winds that blow there. We will settle in at the charming inns of Barra Grande.
• DAY 9 – Barra Grande
  Destination: Barra Grande
  On this day we will experience a little of the natives’ way of life with the delightful canoe and buggy ride to observe seahorses in the estuary of the Cardoso River.
  The tide table will determine the times of each tour. At the end of the afternoon, have fun in the typical bars and restaurants of the region.
• DAY 10 – Barra Grande / Jericoacoara
  Destination: Jericoacoara
  After breakfast, we’ll leave for Jericoacoara along the approximately 130 km of asphalt until we get to the ferry at the mouth of the Coreaú River in Camocim and then cross to the white dunes and carnauba trees of Ilha do Amor. The 4×4 will follow along the seafront to Tatajuba beach.
  In Lago Grande we will enjoy the nets in the water. It is also possible to discover the curious “live menu” at Didi’s restaurant. The second ferry crossing will take place at Praia de Guriú, with its green water channel and the mangrove tree cemetery (the points visited on this route are subject to natural conditions and tidal variation, and there may be changes previously informed by our team).
  We will continue along the seafront to Jericoacoara in time to enjoy the sunset on the famous dune of the same name, a daily ritual of locals and visitors. The overnight stay in Jericoacoara will give us the chance to enjoy the nightlife of the village, its restaurants, shops and bars.
• DAY 11 – Jericoacoara
  Destination: Jericoacoara
  After breakfast, off-road tour to Lagoas Paraíso. The vibrant colors of the place are reminiscent of Caribbean paradises: fine, extremely white sand mixes with the green of the undergrowth and coconut trees, which in turn frame the turquoise blue of the crystal clear water.
  Then we still visit the famous Blue Hole, perfect for swimming and beautiful photos.
  We will spend the night in Jericoacoara.
• DAY 12 – Jericoacoara
  Destination: Jericoacoara
  We booked this free day to enjoy Jericoacoara, great for light walks through its sandy streets full of little shops.
  You can also go for walks in the surroundings on ATVs or horses, in addition to excellent sea bathing, especially on Malhada beach, which has small “bathtubs” of warm water formed in the stones.
  If you prefer, just lie back on the sun loungers and let time pass you by.
• DAY 13 – Jericoacoara / Guajirú
  Destination: Guajiru
  After breakfast, we’ll leave in a 4×4 along trails along the seafront to Praia do Preá for approximately 14 km. Then we follow secondary roads until we reach the pavement.
  We will pass through several small towns such as Acaraú and Itarema until we reach the sands of the beaches of Icaraí da Amontada, Apiques, Caetano, Baleia and Mundaú, from where we will cross by ferry to Guajirú beach.
• DAY 14 – Guajirú / Fortaleza
  Destination: Fortress
  Depending on the tide, we will continue our adventure by the sea, visiting the Trairi bar, crossing another ferry, and arriving at the beautiful beach of Lagoinha, a postcard of Ceará.
  There is a strategic stop for photos, bathing and lunch. Soon after, we will continue on asphalt to the beaches of Cumbuco and Icaraí, in the metropolitan area of ​​Fortaleza.
  Transfer to the airport and end of service.
